Pentagon released information on the new military aid package to Ukraine

Ukraine's new military aid package includes multiple missile systems (MLRS), radar weapons, tactical vehicles and ammunition.

The statement came from Pentagon Deputy Chief of Staff Todd Brissil, SIA reports quoting RIA Novosti.

In addition, as part of the assistance, the US side will provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) with high-capacity mobile artillery missile systems along with ammunition. The Ukrainian army will also receive five anti-artillery radars, two air control radar stations, 1,000 Javelin missiles, as well as 50 launchers and 6,000 anti-tank weapons.

A Pentagon spokesman said the list also included 15,000 artillery shells (155 millimeters in caliber). In addition, Washington plans to send four Mi-17 helicopters to Ukrainian troops. They will also receive 15 tactical machines, spare parts and equipment.

The value of American weapons is expected to be $ 700 million.

Earlier, US leader Joseph Biden announced the delivery of HIMARS rocket launchers to Kiev.

Prior to the opening of the aid package, a senior US administration official said that the package would include longer range systems such as HIMARS, as well as ammunition that would allow Ukrainians to hit more accurately on key targets in the war zone inside Ukraine.
