US President Joe Biden hasn’t ruled out sending Ukraine the Multiple Launch Rocket System, but long-range rockets are out of the question, the Washington Post reported on Monday, citing a senior US official.
"MLRS is under consideration, but nothing is on the table with long-range strike capabilities," the official said.
The report said that leaves open the possibility that the administration will send Ukraine the MLRS with shorter-range rockets. No final decision has been made, the newspaper said.
US officials said the US National Security Council has discussed in recent days how to help Kiev to defend itself without provoking a retaliation by Moscow on US forces or allies.
