"Ramstein Legacy 2022" military trainings have started in Latvia. The trainings will last until June 6, SIA reports quoting RBK-Ukraine.
The training was organized by the NATO Air Force Command. The training will be attended by 300 servicemen of the Latvian Air Force, Land Forces, National Guard, as well as air defense fighters from Italy, the Czech Republic and the United States.
The troops will be trained in the territory and airspace of a number of countries - Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.
"The trainings will be held in different European countries and are based on complex, real-world conditions. The purpose of this year is to strengthen the interoperability and readiness of units, which will strengthen the protection of the territories, forces and people of allied countries from missile or air threats and attacks," the press service of RALY 22 stated.
It is known that NATO military aircraft, short-range air defense systems, including RBS-70, STINGER and AVENGER were involved in the trainings.
