About 1,400 Stingers sent to Ukraine since February

The US military does not currently use Stinger missiles, but the military must have a minimum stockpile of these weapons. The Pentagon has signed a $ 687 million deal to buy Stinger's portable air defense systems to boost significantly reduced reserves after aid to Ukraine.

We are talking about the purchase of 1468 Stinger devices from the manufacturer - Raytheon Technologies. No deadline has been set for the contract, but it is expected to last up to 30 months.

According to Reuters, since February 2022, Ukraine has sent about 1,400 Stingers.
