Bloomberg: "West is ready for Putin's concessions"

Columnists John Follain and Alberto Nardelli say the West is ready to make concessions to Russian leader Vladimir Putin. In their report for Bloomberg, they note that after Hungary, some other EU countries have begun to pay for Russian gas in rubles.

SIA refers to Russian websites.

"The focus has been on Hungary's refusal to support sanctions, but other countries have complied with Putin's demands for gas payments in rubles," the journalists wrote.

Follein and Nardelli say the European Union is divided between Western and Eastern members.

The article goes on to say that diplomats and officials are increasingly frustrated that the European Union's ability to deliver a painful economic blow to Russia is running out.

Earlier, Svobodnaya Pressa reported that some countries have begun to reconsider their positions on Ukraine.
