Ukraine calls on Japan to transfer Russia's frozen assets to Kyiv

Ukraine's Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko has called on Japan to transfer Russia's frozen assets to Kyiv.

SİA informs that Marchenko, in an interview with the Japanese newspaper Nikkey, said that the Ukrainian authorities are already "sending a signal to Japan" that these funds be directed to the restoration of Ukraine. In his opinion, the Kremlin should "pay the price of restoring" Ukraine.

"A political solution is needed. This is not an easy task," the minister admitted and added that Kyiv would continue to work with the G7 in this direction.

At the same time, the publication clarifies that it is not only about the frozen funds of the Russian Central Bank but also about the assets of individuals.
