Sweden MFA: “Stockholm and Ankara will resolve disagreements in the context of NATO"

Stockholm and Ankara will be able to cope with the differences that have arisen due to the possible entry of Sweden into NATO, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde said, SİA reports citing Ria Novosti.

Turkey is following the process around the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO and so far cannot look at it positively, President Tayyip Erdogan said earlier. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu noted that Finland and Sweden declared their readiness to work with Turkey on issues of concern to Ankara.

The Swedish authorities have already prepared an application to NATO, media reported.

“We will continue the dialogue with Turkey, we will try to resolve all existing misunderstandings. I am sure that we will resolve this bilateral issue,” Linde said at a press conference.
