Denmark has tested the SM-2 air defense system.

According to SIA, this was reported in a statement on the official Twitter page of the Danish Ministry of Defense.

The statement from the ministry said the system tested could hit enemy aircraft from a long distance.

It was noted that the system will be launched soon as part of the strengthening of Denmark's air defense and NATO requirements.

The system will be installed on Iver Huitfeldt class frigates such as Peter Willemoes (F 362), Iver Huitfeldt (F 361) and Niels Juel (F 361).

The SM-2 air defense system is said to be the most advanced system in the Danish navy.
