Russia intends to declare war on Ukraine on May 9, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told a briefing, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"According to the intelligence services of the partner countries, on May 9, Russia intends to declare war on Ukraine. We understand that such talks are held at the highest political level. We will see if this happens," he said.
Shmyhal noted that if such a scenario occurs, it will be yet another confirmation of Russia's declaration of war on the civilized democratic world:
"Ukraine will defend its freedom, territory, sovereignty, the lives of our families, and our lands. In any case, we will fight until the complete victory over the aggressor."
