Baltic States, Poland agree with Ukraine to strengthen cross-border cooperation
The interior ministers of the Baltic States and Poland visited Kyiv, where they signed a multilateral agreement on cooperation in the prevention of cross-border crime and the restoration of the sphere of activity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine after the end of hostilities, SİA informs referring to Interfax.
In particular, Estonian Interior Minister Kristian Jaani said that his country would provide both political and practical support to Ukraine. In addition, Estonia is ready to provide humanitarian assistance, as well as in the field of post-war reconstruction and the imposition of tough sanctions against Russia.
He said that Estonia would fully support granting Ukraine the status of an EU candidate country.
The minister noted that there are currently about 36,000 war refugees in Estonia. The country has provided more than 16 million euros in support to Ukraine, including support for civil society and the private sector.
