Armen Ashotyan detained during an opposition rally

Republican Party Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan, led by former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, was detained during an opposition rally. SIA reports citing the post politician wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, he and a group of citizens were detained and taken to the central police department.

It should be noted that the opposition in Armenia started mass actions on April 25. The demonstrations were sparked by Prime Minister Nicole Pashinyan's statements on the Karabakh talks.
