Two famous women paid visit to Ukraine in support

The speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, paid a surprise visit to Kiev, and a day later, actress Angelina Jolie also paid a surprise visit to Lviv in the west. During her visit, Pelosi expressed the United States' solidarity with Ukraine and sent a message that additional assistance was on the way, SIA reports quoting foreign media.

"When we return to the United States, we will be more informed and ready to do our best to help Ukraine," Pelosi said.

Noting the US support for Ukraine, Zelensky thanked for the assistance. This visit took place after US President Joe Biden asked Congress for $ 33 billion in aid to Ukraine. Of the package, $20 billion is for military aid and the rest for economic and humanitarian aid.

Yesterday, the city of West Lviv received the famous actress Angelina Jolie.

Jolie, a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations (UN) since 2012, posed for photos with her fans at a cafe in Lviv. She met with war victims fleeing other cities to Lviv, as well as visited a hospital where children were treated after a rocket attack on the Kramatorsk train station last month.
