President: If peace agreement is signed, then peace in Caucasus will be long lasting and sustainable

Based on Azerbaijani proposal, Armenia agreed finally to establish joint working groups with Azerbaijan to start process of border delimitation, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the meeting with participants of the international conference 'South Caucasus: Development and Cooperation,' SİA informs.

"This is an important sign of recent development and also it shows that now after a year and half passed since the Second Karabakh War, the Armenian leadership and, I hope, population understand the necessity of peace.

And if the peace agreement is signed and those basic principles are known, then the peace in the Caucasus will be long lasting and sustainable. This is what we want. What we demonstrate and announce are the clear examples of our will to contribute to peace in the Caucasus," the head of state said.
