This statement came from Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, SIA reports citing the obtained information.
He noted that the European Commission has allowed the payment for gas in rubles, and believes that the decree of the President of Russia can still be applied by European businesses:
"We appreciate the consistency and honesty of our European partners. In particular, according to the latest IMF data, Europe cannot remain without our gas for more than six months. But seriously, it can't last even a week. "
