Eight food producers' associations have called on Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin not to ban the import of various food products from Europe by road transport.

According to SIA, this was reported by Kommersant.

A letter was written on April 14 urging manufacturers not to block the entry of trucks from Europe to Russia. The letter to Mishustin was signed by the leaders of the Union of Food Producers, the Association of Beer Producers, Soyuzmolok, Rusprodsoyuz and Soyuznapitkov.

It should be noted that raw materials for food production, as well as medicines, have not yet been included in the fifth package of EU sanctions. However, manufacturers are concerned about new restrictions on Russian and Belarusian trucks entering the European Union.

Interestingly, the office of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers said that the letter addressed to them has not yet been received.
