Russia can no longer produce hypersonic Kinjal

Because the West has imposed additional sanctions, especially on Russia's defense industry

Alexander Musienko, head of Russia's Center for Military Law Research, said his country was already deprived of the opportunity to continue production programs for modern weapons such as the Kinjal (... hypersonic missile system - UNIAN). SIA refers to UNIAN website.

He said this during airing on an information telethon.

Musienko said that after the West imposed additional sanctions, especially on Russia's defense industry, they were now virtually deprived of access to key elements necessary for the modernization and production of modern weapons.

It should be noted that even the Asian countries with which Russia is trying to establish contacts do not want to contact Moscow on this issue.

I must say that the head of the center also admitted this.

"... Today we can say that Russia is virtually deprived of the components, raw materials and elements necessary for the continuation of Kinjal, other similar hypersonic weapons and similar programs." These were submitted by Alexander Musienko.

Speaking of, some time ago, UNIAN reported that on March 19, the Russians used Kinjal missiles to destroy an underground military depot in western Ukraine. I must say that the Russian Defense Ministry later acknowledged this.

According to Russian media, Kinjal is an aviation complex with high-precision hypersonic aeroballistic missiles.

The improved long-range fighter-catcher is based on the MiG-31 - MiG-31K. According to the Russian military, it is capable of hitting targets at a distance of more than 2,000 km, while guaranteeing the ability to cope with all existing and advanced air and missile defense systems.
