The Prime Minister invited Putin to hold talks with Zelensky

US President Joseph Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held video talks.

According to SIA, Modi said during the talks that Biden offered Russia a direct dialogue between President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

The talks came amid a US request for help from India to put economic pressure on Russia, which is intervening in Ukraine.

Biden and Modi are said to be concerned about the destruction of Ukrainian cities, especially Bucha, where many civilians have been killed.

"The recent news of the killing of innocent civilians in the town of Bucha has caused great concern. We immediately condemned it and called for an independent investigation, "said Modi.

Modi also told Biden that he had offered to hold direct talks with Putin and Zelensky during a recent telephone conversation with Russia.
