Shahbaz Sharif has been elected the new Prime Minister of Pakistan. This was reported by Reuters, SIA reports.
Sharif was the only candidate for the post of prime minister. 174 deputies voted for him.
Shahbaz Sharif replaces Imran Khan as Prime Minister. Imran Khan's party boycotted the elections.
It should be noted that Sharif is the brother of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
