An estimated 117 million people have been left without electricity in Nigeria as a result of a major power outage.
According to SIA, this was reported by the Nigerian TV channel Arise.
Power outages were reported in the capital, Abuja, and the country's largest city, Lagos.
The Nigerian Ministry of Energy said experts were investigating the cause of the accident.
