Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov addressed the 25th Annual Ministerial Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
According to SİA, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bayramov said long-term strategic investments and sustained regional partnerships had enabled Azerbaijan to turn its landlocked geography into an important logistics, transit and energy hub connecting the East-West and North-South corridors.
He highlighted the need for greater digitalization of transit, simplified customs procedures and integrated energy and digital links, including the Central Asia-Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor.
Bayramov said combining transport, energy and digital infrastructure would help create a more resilient global trade architecture.
He also stressed that peace is an essential prerequisite for sustainable connectivity.
The minister pointed to the August 8, 2025 Washington agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the TRIPP initiative, saying they would contribute to expanding regional and global transit networks.
