Iran's Foreign Ministry summoned the UK ambassador in Tehran, Hugo Shorter, over accusations made by British officials against the Islamic Republic, SİA informs via Al Jazeera.
The British diplomat was handed a written protest note rejecting British officials' claims that Iran had sought to carry out security-related activities in the UK.
In its statement, Iran's Foreign Ministry asserted that these accusations are merely an attempt to shift responsibility. The ministry also accused the UK of cooperating with the United States and Israel.
