Armenia's integration into the European Union (EU) means severing ties with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Russia.
SİA informs, citing Russian media, that Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoygu said this.
"Armenia's integration into the EU, even under the name of diversification, means severing ties with the EAEU and Russia, no matter how much some figures claim otherwise. Such steps will lead Armenia's economy into a deep crisis," he said.
According to him, Moscow does not intend to finance the consequences of such a choice.
"I want to say openly: we will not finance either the expansion of Armenia's ties with the EU, or the easing of its transition to European standards, or its exit from the economic crisis that will follow," Shoigu said.
