A phone conversation took place on May 13 between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi, SİA reports.
During the telephone conversation, discussions were held on Azerbaijan-Iran bilateral relations, the current situation in the region and the progress of the negotiation process within this framework, as well as the prospects for a diplomatic and political solution to the situation around Iran.
Minister Abbas Araghchi provided detailed information about the negotiation process. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan supports efforts toward resolving the conflict through peace and negotiations.
The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
