The head of Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization (MIT), İbrahim Kalin, met with a delegation led by Khalil al-Hayya, a member of Hamas's Political Bureau, SİA informs via Anadolu Agency.
The meeting in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, addressed the ongoing tension in Gaza, the humanitarian crisis, Israel's actions in the West Bank, and restrictions imposed on Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
The talks emphasized the importance of ensuring Israel fulfills its obligations under the first phase of the Gaza Peace Plan, while detailed assessments were carried out regarding the implementation of the second phase.
The Hamas delegation conveyed their gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for Türkiye's efforts to promote peace in Gaza.
Earlier, the same Hamas delegation led by Khalil al-Hayya also met with Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
