Thailand, Cambodia sign agreement on ceasefire

Thai Defense Minister Natthapon Nakpanich and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Tea Seiha on Saturday signed an agreement on ceasefire at a border checkpoint in Thailand's Chanthaburi Province, SİA reports, citing Reuters.

In an agreement signed on Dec 27, both countries agreed that civilians residing in the affected border areas can return to their homes.

The agreement also called for Thailand to return 18 Cambodian soldiers if the ceasefire lasts for 72 hours.
