Azerbaijan was elected to two UN Commissions

On December 10, 2025, in elections held at the UN in New York City, the Republic of Azerbaijan was elected to membership in the UN Commission on Population and Development (CPD) for 2026-2030 and in the Commission for Social Development (CsocD) for 2025-2029, MFA press service told SİA.

Both commissions are functional commissions of ECOSOC, the UN's principal organ on economic and social issues. Currently, our country holds membership in UN ECOSOC for 2025-2027.
