Azerbaijan's share in Georgian citizens' trips abroad has increased

In the third quarter of this year, the number of Georgian citizens traveling abroad amounted to 784.7 thousand people, which is 3.4% more than the year before, SİA reports, citing the report of the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

The majority of trips - 41.4% - were made by travelers aged 31-50.

The majority of trips abroad fell on Türkiye (34.3%) and Russia (18.3%).

14.6% of trips were made to Armenia, 1.8% to Azerbaijan, 16.4% to European Union countries, and 14.5% to other countries.

97.8% of trips abroad were repeat trips, 36.1% were made to visit friends and relatives.

It should be noted that in the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijan's share in trips abroad by Georgian citizens was 2.3%, and in the second quarter - 1.3%.
