A bilateral cooperation plan for 2026–2027 has been signed between the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom, SİA reports.
The British Embassy in Azerbaijan shared photos and information from the signing ceremony on its official page on the “X” platform.
"The UK is proud of our close cooperation with Azerbaijan in defence and its role in the Strategic Partnership. Yesterday, UK Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed the 2026/27 Defence Bilateral Cooperation Plan. We look forward to working closely together to deliver on shared priorities," the post reads.
Note that after the United Kingdom completely lifted its arms embargo on Azerbaijan, broad opportunities for defense cooperation between the two countries have emerged.
