Moscow implements digital-only draft for autumn conscription

Moscow authorities will conduct the upcoming autumn military draft entirely through electronic summons, marking a shift from traditional paper notifications, SİA reports.

Citizens in Moscow, Mari El, Ryazan, and Sakhalin required to serve will receive only digital draft notices, which will be recorded in a special registry and considered delivered seven days after issuance.

Evgeny Burdinski, head of the General Staff’s Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate, said those who ignore the summons face fines and restrictions, including travel bans and limits on driving, property transactions, and business registration. The restrictions are lifted once individuals report to their military office.
