Yalchin Rafiyev: Azerbaijan ready to share COP29 experience with the world
Azerbaijan is ready to share its COP29 experience with other countries, said Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, Lead Negotiator for COP29, during Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW2025), SİA informs.
According to Rafiyev, COP29 was one of the most successful climate conferences to date:
"With over 70,000 participants, the presence of high-level officials, and concrete outcomes, it's clear that COP29 stands out. While decisions are made, implementation is what truly matters. We believe countries that made commitments at COP29 will follow through."
He emphasized that the legacy of COP29 continues to deliver positive outcomes:
"As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, we are ready to share our experience with other nations. We aim to remain impartial and constructive in our efforts."
Rafiyev added that Azerbaijan is already working with Brazil to share insights ahead of the next COP, and also voiced support for Türkiye's bid to host COP31.
