The European Union (EU) is set to confirm the suspension of certain trade provisions in its agreements with Israel, effectively imposing trade restrictions on the country, SİA reports.
Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, announced that the bloc is preparing new sanctions against Israel.
“Today, the EU Commission will present measures to pressure the Israeli government to change its policy regarding the war in Gaza. The suspension of trade privileges and the imposition of sanctions on extremist ministers will clearly demonstrate the EU’s demand for an end to this war,” Kallas stated.
