Syrian security forces have arrested one of the leaders of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the eastern province of Deir ez-Zur, SİA reports.
The militant, known by the alias Abu Hussein al-Idari, was responsible for providing logistical and financial support to ISIS cells operating in Syria, including making cash payments to the wives of fighters killed in clashes.
On August 22, ISIS militants carried out a terrorist attack at a checkpoint in eastern Deir ez-Zur, which resulted in the death of a security service officer.
