Tajikistan and China advance cooperation with new road transport agreement

Tajikistan and China have taken a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties by signing a new agreement on international road transport, SİA reports via local media.

Alongside this agreement, the two nations concluded seven additional documents during a meeting in Beijing, aimed at deepening collaboration across various strategic sectors.

Among the key outcomes was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the foreign ministries of both countries focused on the Global Security Initiative. Another MoU was signed by Tajikistan’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the China International Development Cooperation Agency, aimed at enhancing cooperation in human resource development.

The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan and China’s Ministry of Natural Resources agreed to collaborate in the fields of mining and technological innovation. Additionally, an MoU was signed between the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of Tajikistan and China’s National Data Administration, targeting stronger ties in the digital economy.

Environmental cooperation was also addressed through an MoU between Tajikistan’s Committee for Environmental Protection and the National Development and Reform Commission of China. The statistical agencies of both nations agreed on a new framework to facilitate data exchange and cooperation in statistical research.

Cultural cooperation featured as well, with a memorandum signed between the T. Sattorov Tajik National Conservatory and the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, promoting academic and artistic exchange.
