U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, SİA reports.
The two officials agreed to continue diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine war through negotiations.
Secretary Rubio also expressed the United States’ strong objection to the unilateral recognition of the State of Palestine, stating that such a move would reward Hamas for the October 7 attack and hinder efforts to return all hostages safely.
The officials further discussed situations in Iran, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
