Pashinyan: Implementation of Washington agreements to bring tangible benefits to Iran and Russia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that the implementation of the agreements signed in Washington will bring significant benefits to Iran and Russia, according to SİA.

“When this agreement is implemented, Iran will gain access to railway infrastructure from the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea. Russia and Iran will be able to establish rail links between the two countries,” Pashinyan said in an interview with Fox News.

According to him, if the focus is placed on the economic aspect of this agreement, not only Azerbaijan, Armenia, the United States, and Türkiye, but also Russia and Iran “will receive very important and truly tangible, in fact, unprecedented benefits.”

“Therefore, I consider this a very important agreement that can bring substantial benefits to all countries, as well as, incidentally, to the entire international community, in terms of international stability and security,” he noted.

It should be recalled that on August 8 in Washington, the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, in the presence of the US President, signed a joint declaration consisting of seven points. One of the provisions of this document concerns the launch of the Zangazur Corridor (“Trump Route”) as part of the unblocking of regional transport links. In addition, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia initialed an Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations.
