Pakistan welcomes historic peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Pakistan welcomes the historic peace agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia at the White House summit with the participation of US President Donald Trump, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a post on X.

According to SİA, Sharif emphasized that this event marks the beginning of a new era of peace, stability, and cooperation in the South Caucasus — “a region that has endured decades of conflict and human suffering.”

“We congratulate President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on this historic agreement, which reflects wisdom and foresight in charting a course toward a peaceful future for their region. Pakistan has always stood by the brotherly people of Azerbaijan, and we stand with them at this glorious moment in their history.

We also highly value the mediating role of the United States under the leadership of President Donald Trump, which enabled both sides to reach an agreement that opens new opportunities for trade, stronger ties, and regional integration. We hope that this spirit of dialogue will serve as an example for other regions facing protracted conflicts,” Shehbaz Sharif emphasized.
