Hikmat Hajiyev: Media is one of effective 'soft power' tools that aligns with Azerbaijan's new global foreign policy
Azerbaijani media is one of the effective "soft power" tools that operates at an international level beyond national borders, provides a regional view with global perspective, is read and referenced in different regions of the world, and aligns with Azerbaijan's new global foreign policy, the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev on X on the occasion of National Press Day, SİA informs.
Hajiyev stated that this significant day is of great importance not only for the media community but for Azerbaijani society as a whole:
"Journalism is an honorable profession that requires high responsibility. You fulfill this difficult but important mission professionally, working selflessly to objectively inform and educate society and promote national values. The high appreciation and valuable thoughts expressed by our Mr. President Ilham Aliyev about our media are a clear example of the great trust and attention shown to the journalism profession.
The presidential decree on celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, as well as the awarding of state honors to many professional journalists, demonstrates the importance given to media development in our country and serves as a great stimulus for those working in this field. On the occasion of this significant anniversary, I once again sincerely congratulate each of you and wish you continued success in realizing the goals set by our President for our media, in strengthening our statehood, and in protecting our national interests."
