China may host UN Alliance of Civilizations Global Forum in 2028

China is considering hosting the UN Global Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations in 2028, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a video message to participants of the event dedicated to the first International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations on June 10, SİA informs.

"Through the dialogue among civilizations, we can draw wisdom to solve global problems and expand the path to modernization. China is ready to consider the possibility of holding the Global Forum in 2028 and provide a contribution to UN structures engaged in the dialogue among civilizations," Wang Yi said.

According to him, the dialogue among civilizations is a bridge of friendship that unites peoples and cultures. The head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized that such dialogue helps to overcome differences, find common values ​​and strengthen mutual understanding, thereby promoting harmonious coexistence.

"It is necessary to respect the right of peoples to choose their own path of development and social system, reject the theory of the 'clash of civilizations', oppose interference in internal affairs, oppose unilateral actions and power politics, defend justice and equality, and ensure equal dignity for all. We must strive to ensure that technologies, including artificial intelligence, serve the benefit of humanity: contribute to the preservation and development of cultural heritage, enrich the common material and spiritual wealth, and contribute to the construction of an inclusive community," the politician noted.
