Azerbaijani presidential aide meets with advisor to Japanese PM

Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Chief Commissioner for Expo 2025 of the country, met with Akihisa Nagashima, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, during a visit to Japan.

SİA informs that the meeting discussed issues of cooperation and joint projects between Azerbaijan and Japan covering various fields.

Advisor to the Prime Minister Akihisa Nagashima said that cooperation between the two countries in the energy, oil and gas sectors is developing at a high pace, and that cooperation in the field of renewable energy has great prospects.

He thanked Azerbaijan for its active participation in Expo 2025 in Osaka, and noted that the national pavilion at the exhibition demonstrated Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage.

Anar Alakbarov said that the Azerbaijani president attaches great importance to the development of relations with Japan, noting that the two countries have a wide potential for cooperation in various fields.

He spoke about the reconstruction works carried out in Azerbaijan's liberated territories and invited Japanese companies to actively participate in those projects.

The importance of humanitarian and cultural events aimed at deepening friendship between peoples was emphasized, including the fact that the National Day of Azerbaijan will be held in the capital, Tokyo, and Osaka.

It was noted that the Azerbaijani national pavilion was among the most visited at this year's world exhibition and was included in the top 10 most beautiful pavilions of the Osaka 2025 exhibition.
