In 2024, Azerbaijan allocated a total of 3.8 million manats (approximately $2.24 million) from its state budget to support international socio-political organizations, according to the draft law “On the Implementation of the 2024 State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan," Report informs.
Among the notable allocations:
- 39,700 manats (around $23,350) were directed to the International Committee of the Red Cross;
- 52,800 manats (about $31,060) were provided as a voluntary contribution to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights;
- 85,100 manats (approximately $50,060) went to the UN Central Emergency Response Fund;
- 19,800 manats (roughly $11,650) were contributed to the International Anti-Corruption Academy in support of relevant projects and educational programs;
- 36,600 manats (around $21,530) were allocated to the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the OECD;
- 3.4 million manats (nearly $2 million) were earmarked as voluntary financial assistance to the Organization of Turkic States;
- 42,500 manats (about $25,000) were contributed to the Islamic Organization for Food Security;
- 85,000 manats (approximately $50,000) were allocated to the Trust Fund of the Office of the President of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly.
