Iran ready to sign nuclear deal with US in exchange for sanctions relief: Media

The Iranian authorities have stated that they are ready to sign a nuclear deal with the United States under certain conditions, said Ali Shamkhani, an advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in an interview with NBC News, SİA reports.

Shamkhani said that Iran commits to never producing nuclear weapons, will give up stockpiles of highly enriched uranium that could be used for weaponization, agrees to enrich uranium only to low levels necessary for civilian purposes, and will allow international inspectors to monitor the process. In return, all economic sanctions imposed on Iran must be lifted immediately, the report said.
