Türkiye backs Pakistan, condemns Indian strikes as aggression

Türkiye stands in solidarity with Pakistan and denounces India’s actions as aggression, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said during a phone call with Pakistan’s top diplomat Ishaq Dar, SİA informs.

"Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to express Türkiye's solidarity with Pakistan and to oppose India's unprovoked aggression violating Pakistan's sovereignty and killing innocent civilians. He expressed concern over the deteriorating regional security situation," the Pakistani Foreign Ministry's press office said in a statement.

The Indian Air Force carried out a series of strikes on civilian infrastructure in Pakistan. At least eight people were killed and 35 others were injured in the attack. The Pakistani side announced measures in response to Indian aggression.

According to media reports, the Pakistani Air Force shot down five Indian fighter jets, causing significant damage to the military infrastructure of the Indian Army on the Line of Control in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In particular, the headquarters of the 12th Infantry Brigade of the 9th Division of the 15th Corps, a key tactical formation of the Indian Army participating in forward operations in the region, was destroyed.

Later, footage appeared in the media showing the Indian Army hanging a white flag at the Chora complex on the Line of Control.
