The adoption of the Baku Declaration at the 3rd Ministerial Conference of the Almaty Process will further strengthen regional cooperation, said Arthur Erken, the International Organization for Migration's (IOM) Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, Report informs.
Speaking at the 3rd Ministerial Conference of the Almaty Process, Erken noted that 9.8 million migrants are served in the member states of the Almaty Process. In total, there are 22 million international migrants in these countries.
He mentioned that the IOM is ready to support member and observer states of the Process in the direction of legal migration.
The Almaty Process brings together 10 states and 3 international organizations.
