Marine Le Pen's party leader announces protests across France

Large-scale protests will take place in France, President of the National Rally Jordan Bardella said in an interview with CNews channel immediately after the announcement of the verdict against Marine Le Pen, SİA informs.

"I believe that the French should be outraged, we are going to organize demonstrations this weekend, distribute leaflets," he said, noting that any threats and insults directed at the judges who issued the verdict in Le Pen's case are unacceptable.

On March 31, a Paris court found Marine Le Pen guilty of misusing European Parliament funds. To do this, as alleged, from 2006 to 2016, Le Pen fictitiously hired parliamentary assistants for the party. She was sentenced to four years of house arrest, two of which are suspended.

Also, Marine Le Pen will not be able to participate in the 2027 presidential election.
