Azerbaijan's Acting Chargé d'Affaires in Syria, Elnur Shahhuseynov, took part in an event dedicated to Pakistan Republic Day, SİA informs, citing the press service of Azerbaijan's diplomatic mission in Damascus.
"We once again extend our warmest congratulations and sincere wishes to our brotherly Pakistan on the occasion of National Day," the embassy's message on social media reads.
Pakistan's National Day, also known as Republic Day, is associated with the adoption of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940. This document laid the foundation for the creation of an independent state for the Muslims of British India. Additionally, on the same day in 1956, Pakistan adopted its first constitution and, completely renouncing its dominion status, became a republic.
