Almost 600 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the past 72 hours since Israel violated the ceasefire, the Qatari Al Jazeera TV channel reported, citing the Gaza Media Office.
The death toll continues to rise as Israeli air attacks and ground assaults intensify. Amid renewed bombing, the Israeli military launched a ground invasion in the southern city of Rafah, while a second ground offensive was launched on the city of Beit Lahia in the north of the Palestinian enclave, the TV channel notes.
