The conflict in Ukraine and all related issues will be the focus of attention at the first meeting of foreign ministers of the 27 European Union (EU) countries in Brussels in 2025, SİA reports.

The European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas will insist on increasing military assistance to Kiev, according to a statement she gave to journalists in Brussels the day before.

As part of the discussions on Ukraine, the foreign ministers will discuss the use of frozen Russian assets and the 16th package of sanctions against Russia.

Another main topic of the meeting of foreign ministers will be EU-US relations under President Donald Trump.

Finally, the third topic of the meeting will be the situation in the Middle East, in particular Gaza and Syria.
