CSTO still sees Armenia as ally

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) continues to see Armenia as an ally, despite the latest statement by the Foreign Intelligence Service of the mentioned country, the organization told TASS, APA reports.

“The Secretariat of the organization is aware of the statement of the Armenian Foreign Intelligence Service. However, we still see Armenia as an ally and continue to interact with Yerevan cooperatively,” it was noted.

Noted that the previous day, the Armenian intelligence report stated that the grounds for Yerevan to cease its participation in the CSTO in 2024 are unlikely to disappear this year.

Recall that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan previously stated that Yerevan has froze its participation in the CSTO. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that Yerevan is calculating all the risks associated with a potential withdrawal from the CSTO. However, Armenia has not yet made a concrete decision on the issue.
