A breakthrough has been achieved in talks in Doha regarding the settlement in Gaza Strip, with a draft agreement on ceasefire and prisoner exchange being sent to Israel and the Palestinian radical movement Hamas,SİA informs via Reuters.
"The breakthrough was achieved in Doha after midnight following negotiations between Israeli intelligence chiefs, US President-elect Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East (Steve Witkoff), and Qatar's Prime Minister," the source said.
Qatar, acting as a mediator in the negotiations, has already transmitted the "final" draft agreement on ceasefire and hostage release to Israel and Hamas.
The Israeli delegation has been in Doha since Sunday.
