US President-elect Donald Trump has confirmed plans to attend the funeral of 39th US President Jimmy Carter.
Trump told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida that he had received an invitation to attend the funeral, and accepted it.
Previously, outgoing US President Joe Biden announced a day of national mourning on January 9 over the death of former President Carter.
Jimmy Carter (full name James Earl Carter, Jr.), who served as the US President between 1977 and 1981, passed away at the age of 100 in his home in Georgia on December 29. He is the laureate of the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize.
